Pricing varies with square footage, removal, access, grading, drainage, product choice, edges, and site complexity. A site review is the most reliable way to define the scope.
Does artificial turf need drainage?
Water still needs a route through and away from the installation. The appropriate drainage approach depends on the existing grade, soil, adjacent surfaces, and how water currently moves through the yard.
Does artificial turf get hot in the sun?
Synthetic surfaces can become hot in direct sun. Shade, exposure, turf and infill selection, surrounding hardscape, and when the area will be used should be discussed before materials are selected.
How do you prevent pet turf from smelling?
No surface is automatically odor-free. Prompt waste removal, suitable drainage, appropriate materials, rinse access, and a consistent cleaning routine all affect odor management.
Are pavers better than poured concrete?
Neither is universally better. Appearance, budget, base conditions, drainage, repairability, movement, maintenance, and the intended use should guide the choice.
Do backyard remodels require permits in San Diego?
Some scopes do and some may not. Structures, retaining walls, grading, gas, electrical, plumbing, and work near setbacks or the public right-of-way can trigger review. Requirements depend on the property, scope, and jurisdiction and should be confirmed with the appropriate authority before construction.
